Our customers are leading companies in the automotive industry. We have been engaged in numerous strategic cutting-edge projects since the company started in 1982, and we are proud to handle such confidence from our customers.

Mecel develops a number of products as a complement to our engineering services. The products are mainly software products within the areas AUTOSAR, Bluetooth and HMI development. Our engineering services range from turn-key solutions to outsourced software, see Services. Our software solutions enable our customers to be fast to market while meeting cost and quality targets.

We are pioneers in developing efficient and robust distributed automotive systems. We develop systems and software for in-vehicle systems. We have long experience from distributed systems and telematics, and are recognised for our excellence in in-vehicle communication, diagnostics and Bluetooth solutions.

We play a significant role in international research programs and standardisation. We participate in ISO, GENIVI, AUTOSAR and Bluetooth SIG standardisation and use open standards for improved quality and re-use.

Mecel has a highly developed and implemented quality system and has been ISO 9001 certified since 1996. 

Our environmental management system is ISO 4001:2004 certified.

Facilities

Our modern three-storied office in Göteborg contains, besides office premises, laboratories, garage, and conference facilities.
The Gothenburg office was established in 1986. Starting from a research group at the Chalmers Science Park, we have maintained our close relation with academia.

Mecel had 110,1 MSEK (12 MEUR) net sales in 2010. Mecel has D&B (Dunns & Bradstreet) AAA credit rating.

We are 120 talented employees (in 2011). 80% have a Masters degree or higher and the average industry experience is more than 10 years.

Mecel AB is a wholly owned subsidiary of Delphi Corporation (www.delphi.com). Mecel operates as an independent company on the market, working with major OEMs and Tiers 1s around the world.
