DETROIT, Mich. – Mecel AB announced the launch of Mecel Picea Software Suite at the 2008 Transportation Electronics Convergence Conference. Mecel Picea contains both tools and embedded software and covers the most important parts of the AUTOSAR standard. The tool chain provides an efficient seamless configuration framework for creating AUTOSAR compliant software. These powerful tools give vehicle manufacturers more flexibility, shorten time-to-market and drastically reduce the cost of designing Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for vehicles, according to Mecel officials.
Mecel Launches New Product for Cost-Effective Mobile Bluetooth Development
DETROIT, Mich. – Mecel AB announced its Mecel Betula Software Development Kit (SDK) at the 2008 Transportation Electronics Convergence Conference. Mecel Betula is a comprehensive software product for adding Bluetooth functionality in vehicles. Mecel Betula provides an easy way for manufacturers to adapt to the ever-changing market of consumer devices. In addition, Mecel presented the Mecel Betula Interoperability program – an extensive testing program that will ensure that more cell phones are compatible with the vehicle.

Mecel AB today announced a strategic development on “Decoupled Human Machine Interface Software Architecture” together with General Motors. The result of the project is an embedded software product to be used in production vehicles and a PC configuration tool for HMI design and configuration. This architecture enables increased flexibility, shorter time to market and drastically reduced cost for life cycle management.

Mecel MATE for UDS – New features available
MATE MATE - Mecel Automated Test Environment is a generic test framework that can be used as a platform for test of software in an electronic control unit (ECU). The tool is PC-based and the ECU to be tested is connected through one or more devices connected to the PC. MATE is used as a test platform in a various amount of applications in projects, such as diagnostic communication, Bluetooth communication, and automated voice recognition tests. We offer some standard test suites, based on MATE, which can be used to verify conformance to different standards and specifications.
