Report from Bluetooth SIG's All Hands Meeting in Budapest
Bluetooth SIG:s All Hands Meeting April 12-14 - Budapest, Hungary: Of course Mecel participated in the annual All Hands Meeting arranged by Bluetooth SIG.
This year, the venue was Budapest and participants came from all
continents to discuss Bluetooth and get the latest insights in the
future of the technology.
Amongst many exciting announcements, Bluetooth SIG revealed their new
value proposition - Simple. Secure. Everywhere. The proposition
describes the ambition on how Bluetooth should be experienced by the
end user but also acts as general guidelines for next generation
Bluetooth products.
During the event, the word was that Bluetooth will continue to grow as a key feature in automotive designs and be standard in a majority of all new vehicles in a few years. Other areas where a significant growth is expected are tablets, game consoles, TVs, remote controls and fitness sensors. The latter markets are suitable candidates for Bluetooth Low Energy, where more intelligent communication can be achieved by replacing current technologies with Low Energy.
