Mecel adds Internet connectivity to Betula on Android platform

New Release: Betula on Android with PAN/DUN Mecel adds Internet connectivity to Betula - Android version through the PAN (Personal Area Network) and DUN (Dial Up Networking) profiles.

With these profiles, vehicle head units can access and display desired Internet content. The mobile phone becomes a gateway to the Internet by letting the car either use it as a modem or connect to it as a part of a wireless network.

Once the Internet link is established, the end user will be able combine pleasure with enhanced driving experience through sites providing traffic information, weather data, Internet radio and location based services such as gas prices, hotel availability, parking areas etc.

Mecel Bluetooth team added these profiles to the Android version of Mecel Betula SDK during spring 2011, which now contributes with extended value to the end user by providing Internet access.

As with all Betula profiles, design is done with easiness and robustness as key components helping the integrators to reach great functionality with minimal effort.
