Mecel celebrates 10 years as leading Bluetooth software provider
In 1999 Mecel was the first company in history to show Bluetooth in a vehicle. It was on the IAA show in Frankfurt in and Mecel was responsible for the Bluetooth head-set connectivity solution displayed.
Mecel joined the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as one of the very first members in 1998. As a successful systems and software company, Mecel has since then provided Bluetooth software to the telecom and automotive industry world wide.
During the last years, Mecel Bluetooth team extended the product portfolio with a dedicated product for the automotive industry - Mecel Betula SDK. Mecel Betula SDK is a complete automotive Bluetooth platform that significantly simplifies implementation of Bluetooth connectivity in automotive systems. It will be available in leading vehicle manufacturer’s models during beginning of 2010.
