Speech Technology and its Application in Vehicle Industry – Mecels MD on the subject

For driver, it is always preferable to have the driver’s eyes on the road and hands on the steering wheel. A lot of in‐vehicle tasks may take driver’s attention from the road, therefore cause drive distraction.

Automatic Speech Recognition and dialog system have been the technologies that vehicle designers interested in. The in‐perfect speech recognition rate, speech errors and other human factor issues have become the obstacles for its applications. But the related researches have been carried out for over 30 years, or more.

We invite you to a workshop on state‐of‐the‐art of the research and development of speech technology and its applications.
