Linux-Android version

Mecel Bluetooth SDK now runs on Android 2.1 based phones, such as Nexus One. The POSIX compatible Linux port of Mecel Bluetooth SDK, with Bluetooth Specification 3.0 features like eL2CAP, supports profiles such as AVRCP1.4. The profile availability in standard Android 2.1 environment is limited, but can now be enhanced thanks to the Mecel Bluetooth SDK Linux version.

The profile AVRCP1.4 was initially designed to allow browsing of audio/video content over Bluetooth, but Mecel engineering experts have come to the conclusion that AVRCP1.4 can be used for several list based mobile phone connectivity features such as Spotify, Pandora, Internet radio, Facebook, Twitter, On-line newspapers, Traffic Information and other Location Based Services.
