Luxgen: “Think Ahead” when choosing in-car commuincation partner
LUXGEN, the first automobile brand from Taiwan, has successfully made its international debut. Mecel's products and solutions are integrated in the Luxgen7 SUV for advanced in-car communication.
LUXGEN is an Asian automaker with the company’s slogan is “Think Ahead”. The name LUXGEN comes from a combination of “luxury” and “genius”, with the company boasting its car-building credentials by virtue of its being part of the Yulon Group.

The LUXGEN7 is the second vehicle model by LUXGEN that builds upon
the CAN-based In-Vehicle Communication network that Mecel has developed
together with the local engineering team in Taipei.
Mecels experience in efficient automotive software solutions was key when LUXGEN searched for a partner and Mecel one again delivered what they promised.
In addition to supporting the engineering team with network development expertise, Mecel also provided specification and verification services and supplied its Autosoft communication software to many of LUXGEN’s ECU suppliers.
Involved in advanced infotainment development
Mecel was also involved in the development of the very advanced infotainment system fitted in the LUXGEN7 vehicles. Supplied by smartphone giant HTC, the “Think+” system is one of the most advanced infotainment systems in the market, offering a wide variety of features.
Creating a user friendly interface to such a feature rich system with many sophisticated technologies behind is a complex task. Here, Mecels vast experience from developing infotainment systems for many customers around the world contributed to a timely project execution and successful launch of the Think+ system.
