AUTOSAR ORIENTATION FOR MANAGERS [1/2 day]
AUTOSAR, the new standard for automotive software, is now introduced in new vehicle development programs. The attendees of this seminar will get a basic understanding of AUTOSAR and its effects on automotive business, organizations and product development. The seminar addresses high level strategic questions and provides orientation of the players of the market.

 


AUTOSAR INTRODUCTION  [1 day]
This course will give a summary of the concepts and technical details that will help you in understanding systems based on AUTOSAR.
It’s an introduction for development engineers, project managers and others that will be participating in AUTOSAR development programs. The course will provide a guide to the AUTOSAR software architecture, describe the concepts and explain the effects on development processes and production programs imposed by the new standard.

 


AUTOSAR ENGINEERING [2 days]
In this course AUTOSAR applications (SW-Cs) will be created and run on an AUTOSAR platform. Exercises and theory will explain integration of SW-Cs and configuration of RTE and basic software. The training will give deep understanding of AUTOSAR and the mechanisms that the RTE and the basic software provide to the SW-C layer. The training is targeting software engineers with basic AUTOSAR knowledge. Programming exercises will be in C.

 


BLUETOOTH INTRODUCTION [1 day]
Bluetooth implementations are increasing rapidly and new profiles are constantly released. The course is recommended for an audience with a need for understanding the technology and usage possibilities of available profiles. After the training, the participants will be able to strategically analyze and make decisions regarding Bluetooth activities.


 

DIAGNOSTIC COMMUNICATION  - ISO14229 [1 day]
UDS (ISO 14229-1) is the new standard protocol for automotive diagnostics and it is for example used in AUTOSAR. In this training we will look at differences between UDS and other similar existing protocols like GMW3110 and KWP (ISO 14230). We will establish the UDS terminology and a basic understanding of the protocol characteristics. During the training we will look at the available UDS services and the most common services will be explained in detail by examples and exercises. UDS is independent of physical layer but during the training we will look at how UDS is implemented on CAN (ISO 15765-2 and ISO 15765-3). Also, we will look at some application examples, e.g. DTC-management and software download.



FUNCTIONAL SAFETY - ISO26262 Orientation for Managers [1/2 day]
The approach to make E/E functions safe has not yet been standardized within the automotive community. ISO 26262, the functional safety standard for road vehicles, will require major considerations for every automotive supplier about how products are developed and how they can be demonstrated as safe. The seminar is targeted for managers and emphasizes safety culture, development processes as well as safety management and most important; creation of a safety case according to ISO 26262.


FUNCTIONAL SAFETY - ISO26262 Engineering [1-4 days]
With the introduction of ISO 26262, the functional safety standard for road vehicles, the situation will change. This means that engineers will face new requirements on how to specify, design, verify and validate their products. This course  provides a basic understanding of safety engineering and why functional safety needs to be thoroughly considered by system and software engineers. The course is adapted to the needs of the traget group.

 


FLEXRAY ENGINEERING [2 days]
This course will train the participants in the fundamentals of the FlexRay technology. The course will give you a good understanding of the evolution of FlexRay, the specifications, communication layers and technical concepts. Related areas like integration with AUTOSAR, EMI/EMC, HW-components and tools used, is also explained in the training.Furthermore is FlexRay’s role in implementing functional safety systems, as defined in ISO 26262, explained. Mecel’s own experience of implementing and using FlexRay will be mixed with the hard facts of this standard.



SYSTEM ENGINEERING [2 days]
Within the automotive business there is a distinctive trend that more and more of the vehicles’ complexity and value consist of electronics and software. The complexity increase requires new working methods and skills to handle the problems that arise. This course will give a deeper understanding of the development of distributed embedded systems within the automotive area. It will also give an understanding of the tools, methods and processes used the industry, and how they can be applied.

Our instructors have several years of experience working as software architects and system engineers within the automotive domain. Their experience spans from OEMs such as Volvo, Ford, PSA, Volvo Cars, General Motors, Daimler and Asian OEMs to working for tier 1 suppliers such as Delphi, Mitsubishi Electric, Bosch, Honeywell and others. Our instructors have experience from standardization activities such as AUTOSAR, Bluetooth and ISO 26262.
